Wise Messages Introduction

 

You receive scores of messages each day. Wouldn't it be nice to get notified with wise messages from Scripture or other ethical sources? Wise Messages will send you notification with wise sayings at designated intervals, or randomly. Wise Messages works very nicely with Apple Watch.

• Select from several different categories of messages and different intervals. In your iPhone Settings, you can select how you want those messages to appear (as simple notifications, alerts, on lock screen etc.)
• Select from multiple sources such as the book of Proverbs, Biblical Affirmation, Letter for the Ages, and Ethics of the Fathers.
• Scripture and other sources are in the public domain. Scripture passages from a modified version of the World English Bible.
• Add your own source. Import messages and/or edit them.
• Customize the app color theme
• Select from notifications every 5 minutes, every 30 minutes, every hour, every 6 hours, every 12 hours, once a day, or random.

Creating or Editing a Custom Message Source

• To add your own message source, press the Preferences button and select Create Custom Source
• Add a name for your custom source
• Enter each message on a single line. Do not worry about word wrapping. You can paste from the iPhone Pasteboard by pressing in the text field and selecting Paste from the popup menu.
• Press Preview to preview your messages.
• Press Next or Previous to cycle through your custom messages.
• Press End Preview after you are satisfied with your custom messages.
• Press Save to save your custom message source.
• Note: to add an attribution to a message, use the tilde character. Example: ~ Psalms 119:1

To edit a custom source, selecct it in the list, then press the Edit Custom Source button
